Best Deals in Luggage & Travel Accessories

Traveler’s Choice Pagosa Indestructible Hardshell Expandable Spinner Set, $169 (originally $220)

JZRSuitecase 2 Piece Hardside Spinner Suitcase Set, $70 (originally $130)

BAGSMART Expendable Carry On Spinner, $85 (originally $110)

BAGSMART Rolling Laptop Bag, $68 (originally $84)

TARION Waterproof Camera Backpack, $45 (originally $60)
This is my go-to camera backpack. It’s traveled everywhere with me and has held up long travel days and the elements of Iceland. If you travel with a DSLR or mirrorless camera, a couple of lenses and any other photo/video equipment, I can’t recommend this backpack enough.

BAGAIL 8 Set Packing Cubes, $15 (originally $25)
I didn’t start using packing cubes until last year, and they’ve honestly been life changing. Not only for the space saving capabilities, but the organization. Indispensable during a multi-week or road trip.

Luxebell Luggage Scale, $7 (originally $10)
It’s becoming more common that airlines pay a bit closer attention to the weight limits for your checked luggage and sometimes, even your carry on. Just having one of these on hand will help you shuffle around your luggage so you’re not faced with the horror of having to sort through your suitcase at the check-in counter.

Luggage Travel Cup Holder, $8 (originally $14)

BAGSMART Hanging Toiletry Bag, $18 (originally $30)
A toiletry bag has also become another staple of my suitcase most recently. It’s really helped reign in the chaos of product, makeup and miscellaneous little bottles without the risk of damaging the contents of my luggage.

Best Deals in Clothing & Apparel

Under Armour Men’s Sportstyle Left Chest Short-sleeve T-shirt, $15 (originally $25)

Baleaf Women’s Quick Dry Lightweight Hiking Pants, $30 (originally $56)

MARMOT Zip up Rain Pants, $60 (originally $100)

Columbia Men’s Glennaker Lake Jacket, $38 (originally $60)

Merino Wool Base Sweater, $54 (originally $85)
I often feature a wool base in my Iceland travel guide because it’s really the best for that cool, wet climate.

Sketchers Men’s Gowalk Walking Shoe, $62 (originally $90)

La Sportiva Men’s Hiking Boot, $171 (originally $240)
Hiking boots can make or break your trip — quite literally. I’ll never forget the unfortunate blisters I traveled on to London with after a week in Iceland wearing subpar boots. Let’s say it was a hard-learned lesson.

FURTALK Women’s Sun Straw Hat, $26 (originally $36)

CUPSHE Women’s Bikini Set, $35 (originally $45)
I absolutely love Cupshe’s flattering bathing suit and bikini designs.

Best Deals in Tech & Photo Gear

Ring Video Doorbell, $50 (originally $100)

Apple AirTag 4-pack, $79 (originally $99)
I’m obsessed with my AirTags. I find them super useful as a peace of mind tool to keep track of my checked luggage. I even throw one in my carry on in the event the bag needs to be gate-checked, or gets lost.

Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen), $190 (originally $250)

Apple Airpods (2nd Gen), $90 (originally $130)

vibeadio Noise Cancelling Headphones, $40 (originally $50)

Insta360 Flow Gimbal, $146 (originally $160)
This has become my favorite little gadget and I don’t travel anywhere without it. It’s a perfect steady-cam gimbal for your phone first, but also doubles as a selfie stick and mini tripod. It’s got built-in smart tools that allow to track your movements and an app that even helps you frame and shoot specific scenes.

Canon EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera, $2,000 (originally $2,500)

Nikon Z6II Mirrorless Camera, $1,600 (originally $2,000)
After frying my old DSLR during a trip, this has become my new favorite travel camera. Much lighter than a DSLR, and also a bit smaller, it’s more comfortable to travel with.

K&F Lightweight Tripod, $60 (originally $100)

GoPro Hero12 Black, $335 (originally $400)
I recently purchased a GoPro for more adventurous photos and videos during my travels. Perfect to capture mountain biking, ATVs, ziplining, snorkeling etc.

What is Prime Day?

Prime Day began in 2015 as a celebration of Amazon’s 20th anniversary. This annual event spans two days and offers thousands of doorbuster deals across every category on the site. From luggage to clothing and day-to-day essentials, Prime Day has grown into one of the largest shopping holidays of the year, rivaling Black Friday and other major sales events. Last year, Amazon reported that the first day of Prime Day 2023 was the “single largest sales day ever on Amazon,” with shoppers saving more than $2.5 billion on millions of deals.

How long does it last?

Prime Day runs for two full days, but savvy shoppers can access early and extended deals to grab everything on their wishlist in time for summer travels. This year, the event kicks off at midnight PST on Tuesday, July 16, and runs through midnight PST on Wednesday, July 17. Keep in mind that while some deals will last the entire event, others are limited-time offers, so act quickly when you spot something you love.

Do I need a Prime Membership to shop the deals?

While Prime Day is geared towards Prime members, non-members can also enjoy many of the deals. However, becoming a Prime member unlocks extra savings, exclusive discounts, and other benefits. If you’re unsure about committing, sign up for a 30-day free trial to access deeper discounts. After the trial, membership is $14.99/month, and you can cancel anytime. Beyond Prime Day, membership perks include Amazon Prime Video, Whole Foods discounts, and free two-day shipping, making it a worthwhile investment.

Happy shopping!
